As the Configurator developer, you'll play an integral role in developing, enhancing and maintaining the Camos based engineering configurator for this multinational, digitally transforming Engineering organisation. The Configurator developer will be expected to apply software programming knowledge to intelligently develop business process tools and systems including the Camos based engineering configurator and other related solutions. Further down the line, there will be the view to integrate the Camos system with their incoming SAP ERP and CRM solutions. This will be a global facing role and you'll be tasked with improving the global functions, working with engineers to create product models to improve implementation. You'll have both a project and day-to-day support focus, working with colleagues to capture the AS-IS and TO-BE target architecture of the software and processes, working with various departments to understand their requirements and turn these into technical solutions. Lastly, you'll operate closely with the software's provider to resolve complex issues outside of your scope.So what are we looking for? Primarily, we're looking for a strong C#/C++ Developer with Visual Basic (VBA) skills and a thorough knowledge of Object Oriented software programming techniques.You'll need an understanding of relational databases and data access (SQL) with knowledge around CRM and ERP processes and integrations being a benefit, ideally having operated in an Engineering, Production, Manufacturing or Distribution setting. Alongside the technical requirements, it'd be great for you to have an understanding of how to manage and deliver projects, leading small teams within these to ensure requirements are gathered are met.
