Apples GPU Software team provides the graphics software foundation across all of our innovative products including iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Mac, and Apple Watch. Our responsibilities encompass rendering applications, frameworks, developer tools, and hardware drivers for the GPU and display devices on all of Apples hardware. The Rendering Engineer role is part of a team responsible for designing and building a standalone renderer and composition engine that will be used by external and internal developers to bring complex UI designs to life.As part of this team, you will help design and develop an advanced UI renderer from ground-up, expose, and test an API that will be used on diverse systems with varying CPU and GPU capabilities. You will also design and develop a composition engine that goes hand-in-hand with the renderer.You will apply your knowledge of computer graphics to build real-world graphics applications that will be used by millions of customers. In this role, you will have an opportunity to collaborate with industry specialists across Apple, building a complex, multidisciplinary system. In addition, you will also collaborate with external development teams to help them build world-class user experiences using this rendering engine.
