This position is associated with the sale of Intel's NAND memory and storage business to SK Hynix (You can read more about the transaction in the press release - The transaction will enhance the resources and potential of the business' storage solutions, including client and enterprise SSDs, in the rapidly growing NAND Flash space amid the era of big data.This is an exciting time to be at Intel - come join Core Systems Engineering as a Validation Engineer and work on one of the most advanced 3DNAND and SSD technology portfolios in the world. As the global leader in the semiconductor industry, Intel possesses many industry-leading SSD technologies including the most capable Quadruple Level Cell (QLC) NAND Flash products. You will be part of a world-class team that will transition to lead the SSD business at SK Hynix.This position aligns to Phase 1 of the transaction, which includes the 3DNAND enterprise and client SSD business. Phase 1 is expected to close in late 2021, subject to regulatory approvals and other customary conditions. At deal close, all employees aligned to this phase of the transaction will transition to SK Hynix.Experience in embedded architecture, external interfaces, product constraints, along with ability to develop architectures/features that meet these constraints while providing new value for the platform. Source code development, review and maintenance (Python, C/C++). Unit and system level test and verification (TCL, System C, Modelsim SE). Experience in low-level programming, system architecture, operating systems, device architecture, hardware design. Experience in storage interface standards such as NVMe, MI, SATA, SAS, PCIe, and Fiber Channel. System level design and modeling manages design environment (make, Perl, SVN, Bugzilla, git). System integration using 8, 16, 32 bit microcontrollers. Algorithm modeling, benchmarking, implementation, and digital signal processing.


Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with 2+years of additional experience
  • Experience with Python programming and other high level programming languages like C/C++/C#
  • Ability to write test plans, tests and execute tests manually and automatically in CI tools
  • Experience in triaging and fixing issues in tests
  • Validation experience with embedded firmware, real-time operating system RTOS, and HW/SW interactions
  • Experience in developing, reviewing, and implementing test plans
  • Experience in Agile development methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills in Polish and English

  • NVMe, MI, PCI knowledge and specification understanding
