What is IN it for you?For the Expert Track, as part of the INspire - the Trucks & Buses Experience Program, we are looking for trainees in the area of software development (f/m/x).The Expert Track is an alternative to a classical entry position. In the Expert Track you will be working for 36 months in globally connected projects and agile teams. Here are some short insights into your first project IN the Expert Track:Your first project starts in your future home area, the Autonomous Truck Group.You will shape the process on how we bring safe autonomous trucks on the road. As part of the Autonomous Truck team, your main tasks include:

  • Working on a scalable hardware/software architecture and platform
  • Selecting the best operating system and middleware
  • Implementing and testing it on a bench, on the HIL and in the vehicle
  • In addition, you will work with our partners to integrate the autonomous driving software

You will have a lot of responsibility in actively driving your topics forward as well as implementing them.Afterwards you will have the possibility to shape the future of transportation by within three highly relevant projects before returning to your home area.


About you:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, robotics control engineering or similar
  • Proven work experience with autonomous vehicles or robotics, and software development
  • Strong skills in Software Engineering, software architecture and advanced programming skills in C/C++ and MATLAB/Simulink
  • Experience with real-time programming of embedded platforms, automotive ECUs, automotive Ethernet/ CAN controllers
  • Proven work experience with Functional Safety (ISO 26262 or IEC61508) and their techniques
  • Fluent in written & spoken English
  • You are a visionary and you always have the whole picture and the customer in mind.
  • Strong English and German presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to work and collaborate with remote locations over different time zones
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally
