JPMorgan Asset and Wealth Management's Production and Infrastructure team is seeking a hands-on site reliability engineer. As a successful candidate, you will be a client oriented individual focused on finding solutions and providing direct support to our business teams in Front office and Middle office across the world.
You will join a high caliber team of innovative, forward thinking technologists whose mission is to identify and implement next generation, self-service, autonomous solutions which modernize and improve the way technology is supported in our firm.
An ideal candidate will: * Be customer focused and able to build their network across Business and Technology functions * Leverage their collaboration skills to solve urgent problems alongside different teams; understand what and how to escalate effectively. * Have the operations skills to identify and mitigate difficult and complex technical problems * Have coding skills to resolve problems permanently through automation * Be able to work as part of a global team to achieve project and organizational goals * Be able to ensure quality deliverables are created following Agile/Scrum development practices and deployed use CI/CD pipelines * Awareness of automated testing to ensure overall quality of deliverables * Have a strong focus on documentation and knowledge sharing
Exposure to or experience in site reliability or software engineering with a focus in DevOps or site reliability automation. * Observability knowledge: white & black box monitoring, telemetry collection, and data analysis tools such as Geneos, Prometheus, kafka, Splunk, etc * Proficient in at least one programming language such as Python, Java/Spring Boot, .Net, Powershell, Flask, or ReactJS (two or more preferred) and development tools such as GIT & Bitbucket * Knowledge of databases and SQL experience * Server OS scripting and automation experience (Windows or Linux)
Strongly Preferred: * Knowledge of containers and container orchestration: Kubernetes, PKS, Docker * Familiarity with best practices for infrastructure design for applications using Microservices, APIs, Big Data, and more * Familiarity with config management tools such as puppet and ansible * Familiarity with NoSQL databases * Public/Private Cloud knowledge (Pivotal Cloud Foundry, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, VMware, OpenStack)
