We are looking for a Software Developer to join our R&D team in Cambridge, UK. The role will be primarily JavaScript and C++ development and you will be working on the end user experience in our security-enhanced version of Firefox.

You will be implementing features in both the browser and our management stack, as well as fixing bugs and helping to improve existing code. • Coding experience in JavaScript and C++
  • Experience of Windows development
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent

The following skills and attributes are a plus:

  • Prior experience with browser extensions (WebExtensions API)
  • Background in website development and HTML/DOM/JavaScript debugging
  • Knowledge of HTTP/HTTPS networking, DNS, Proxy Servers
  • Prior experience with Python and Selenium Automation

Inspired by the isolation principles of traditional virtualization, our team has created a game-changing technology called micro-virtualization to protect end users against advanced malware. Every task the user performs, such as opening a document or clicking on a link, is isolated in its own micro-VM, with access to just the resources required for that task, and existing just for the life of the task. Protection is thus provided through isolation, without relying on detection, hence reliably defending the user from polymorphic and even zero-day malware.

Bromium was acquired by HP Inc on 19 September 2019. Ordinarily, you will work from our R&D offices in Cambridge, UK but due to COVID-19 you will work from home initially. We offer flexible working, competitive salaries, and a comprehensive benefits package.
