They are a fast growing SME within the Automotive industry that have ambitious growth plans and expect to double in size over the next 18 to 24 months. They are a market leader in their field and have 5 star trusted status across consumer platforms such as Trustpilot and Feefo.Your new roleReporting in to the Chief Operating Officer, the Head of Digital will be responsible for managing a software development team who create and manage the organisations digital and web based systems/applications. This is a senior leadership role, sitting at board level and will help shape the IT strategy and roadmap for the business, which will help with the projected growth over the next 18 to 24 months. The Head of Digital post will require someone who is currently operating in a Technical Lead or Head of Development role, who has a strong understanding and proven track record of managing a software development function.What you'll need to succeed• Experience of creating and delivering a technology roadmap that is aligned with wider business objectives.• Strong understanding of IT operations and infrastructure as well as web based systems and 3rd party business applications.• Previous exposure to the following languages and frameworks: Laravel, MVC, PHP, HTML, CSS and React JS.• Successful delivery of complex technology projects using appropriate methodologies, focussed on digital and application/system-based projects.• Strong leadership experience, including the motivation and management of building and developing cross-functional teams.• Excellent communication and presentation skills and the gravitas to build relationships with senior stakeholders.• Strong commercial awareness with a proven track record of reporting in to and operating at C-Level.What you'll get in returnYou can expect a basic salary in the region of £55,000 to £60,000 (depending on experience), along with a range of benefits from contributory pension and possible share options.What you need to do nowIf you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.If this job isn't quite right for you but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion on your career.
