Your responsibilities:

LIQID is looking for an ambitious Lead Architect (f/m/d) who has a passion for Fintech.

  • You will be responsible for development of technical and architectural design at LIQID,
  • You will be a key stakeholder in deciding on the development or adoption of new technologies and infrastructure,
  • On technical and architectural issues, you will be the key counterpart to and point of contact for the senior leaders of all other business units at LIQID,
  • You will develop, spar, review and improve technical architecture specifications, as well as processes in order to improve them and adapt them to LIQID’s business goals,
  • You will work with LIQID’s engineering teams and be ultimately accountable for the choice of technology stack, language or architecture you think fits the best to the business needs & requirements,
  • You will develop and/or coordinate development of proofs-of-concept,
  • You will define and enforce best practices and latest technology standards.

What we expect:

  • You will be able to create enduring relationships with leads and members of LIQID’s engineering teams as well as other stakeholders at LIQID,
  • You can highly relate to our mission to democratize investing for private clients who are too demanding for retail banks but too small for traditional private banks,
  • You have completed a degree in computer science (or comparable),
  • You will have several years of experience in the specification and management of information architecture,
  • You are a servant leader and have a track record of lateral leadership skills that benefited your teams,
  • You have profound knowledge of key programming paradigms (object orientation, functional programming, databases); state-of-the-art tools and methods (such as development, testing, integration & deployment); and the processes of modern software engineering,
  • You have experience with monitoring tools like Sentry, PagerDuty, Grafana,
  • You have experience working with and integrating with 3rd party systems and platforms (Salesforce experience a plus),
  • You are able to quickly grasp complex application landscapes and communicate them accordingly as well as propose smart solutions,
  • Agile methods such as Scrum, Kanban and Design Thinking are not foreign to you, and you already have many years of experience in this area,
  • You concern yourself with improving code quality, automation and testing incrementally in order to provide those around you with better working conditions,
  • You are an adept critical thinker and great communicator,
  • You are fluent in English (German fluency is a big plus).
