Summary & Role Information

Being a part of SAPs BTP Core Security Control Plane provides our team members with a unique and exciting place to work. We have created many positions in our unit Platform Security Engineering for experienced and junior developers and cybersecurity experts to ideate, build and create our next generation of security defense technologies in the Cloud in an agile environment. Identity and Access Management (IAM) with a focus on authorization, cryptography and public key infrastructures, geo-blocking, and advanced policy systems are just a brief example of what we do at Platform Security Engineering and what well continue to innovate. Role Requirements

• A good degree in computer science, software engineering, or similar (Bachelor/Master)
• Excellent development skills in Go or Node.js
• Experience with Security and Cybersecurity
• Experience with Kubernetes and container technology
• Experience working in agile software development processes (Scrum)
• Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Fluent in English (written and verbal)
• Positive mindset, team player, humble, transparent, and highly adaptable
• Curiosity and track record for quickly learning new technologies, concepts, and tools

About the team

The T&I BTP Core Security Control Plane department carries the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) mandate and also develops key security services and components that are used within our platform and across our applications. The newly founded Platform Security Engineering unit within the Security Control Plane department will be responsible for developing security-related services related to new initiatives like service mesh or policy-based authorization. As such, it addresses architectural and conceptional questions to ensure engineering excellence, executes implementation projects across teams, and conducts reliable operations of our services. We also proudly provide the Custom Domain Certificate Service, Certificate Service, GBaaS Service, the SAP Crypto Library, and SAP SSO solution.
