JPM Research distribution technology is looking for a senior Java developer to help us shape the future of Research distribution for our clients. The role is within our 'My Research Subscriptions' team helping us to build out our Research subscription functionality. You will be working mainly in the back end space helping us to refine and define how we collate, process and action our client's Research subscriptions to deliver them precisely what they asked for via our distribution channels. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, strong team player and will be able to take ownership of tasks and see them through to completion as well as articulate solutions to colleagues at all levels.
Key responsibilities and skills: * Able to work closely with our product team to understand their needs and translate these into technical back end work items. * Opinionated on Java best practices and applying them to enterprise code. * Able to work closely with our front end developers to provide the data that they need to for our clients. * Assist in the brainstorming and design of new architecture and what technologies would be best suited. * Able to analyse existing systems and happy to bring a fresh perspective to the table. * Quality mindset with a view to delivering the best possible experience for our clients and your fellow developers.
Key technology experience: * Java * Spring Boot * Hibernate * GraphQL * JUnit * Relational DBs * CI/CD technology and principles
Advantageous skills to have: * Familiarity with RIXML * Knowledge of Cloud/Distributed architecture and principles. * Knowledge of financial research * Experience of automated end to end testing * Graph DBs
